New Adult Bible Studies
We have two new Adult Bible Studies beginning this spring:
Travis Stanley and Jeremy Loy will be teaching a study on “Becoming a Neighborhood Church”. This class will explore Christian practices such as Hospitality, Healing, Contemplation, Testimony, Diversity, Justice and Worship, asking the question how these practices can transform our church into a church for our Neighborhood. Our resource for this class will be Diana Butler Bass’ book Christianity for the Rest of Us: How the Neighborhood Church is Transforming the Faith. This class will meet Sunday Mornings at 9:15 a.m. in our Educational Building, room 104.
Monroe Teague will be teaching a study on the Life of Joseph. Using the life of Joseph as inspiration, this class will search for relevant insights into the questions of our own lives: How does our family background affect us? What happens when parents show favoritism? How do performance standards affect children? How can we deal with the temptations of success? Why must we be people of firm conviction? How do we handle bitterness and pride? How should we respond when we are wrong? This class will meet Sunday Mornings at 9:15 a.m. in our Educational Building, room 102.
